What is OTR actually used for?

OTR is your traveling companion to prepare and improvise your stops: search for useful places around a city or your location, save favorites, prepare routes, consult the weather, timetables, reviews, photos and fuel prices when the data is available. The goal is simple: fewer tabs, fewer apps open, more quick decisions on the go.

Do I need to create an account to search and save?

Yes. OTR is designed as a connected app: your account keeps favorites, trips, journals, history and personal data in one place.

Can I search by city, address or around me?

Accepted Answer

Yes for searching by city, address or location. Around Me search asks for location permission from your device and is available with Explorer or Road Pro. The Free map allows you to discover the search, but not the Around Me tab.

Are fuel prices available everywhere?

Accepted Answer

No. For the moment, fuel prices are only available for stations in France, based on public French data. Coverage may evolve gradually.

Why is some information missing about a location?

Accepted Answer

Photos, opening hours, reviews, price levels, services or EV connectors depend on the data available for each place and the offer you use. Even with a premium plan, a location may remain incomplete if the source does not yet provide the information.

Are weather forecasts included?

Local search weather and trip weather are included with Explorer and Road Pro. They are not available in the Free plan.

What does the Free plan allow?

Free includes 3 searches per day, 5 results per search, 3 favorites, 1 trip, 5 visible history entries and 3 categories per search. Free does not unlock Around me, driving directions, weather, fuel, reviews, photos, detailed schedules, satellite view, logs or photo storage.

Explorer adds 100 searches/day, 20/hour, 30 results per search, Around me, weather, fuel, reviews, photos, detailed schedules, satellite view, 50 favorites, 5 trips, 20 visible history entries, 3 notebooks, 3 photos per stage and 50 MB of photo storage. This is the plan designed for regular trips.

What is the difference with Road Pro?

Road Pro includes everything in Explorer, with searches without a daily limit, 50 results per search, 500 favorites, 50 trips, 50 visible history entries, unlimited journals, unlimited photos per stage, 10 GB of photo storage and 2 manual OTR spots per day. This is the plan for long trips and intensive use.

When do daily counters reset?

Daily counters, such as Free/Explorer searches and Road Pro manual OTR spots, reset every day. Photo, favorites, trips and journal limits simply depend on your offer.

Are my photos, notebooks and avatar public?

Accepted Answer

No by default. User photos are protected, then displayed only when access is authorized. A private journal photo does not become a public image accessible to anyone.

How does OTR handle photos and storage limits?

Accepted Answer

Photos added to OTR are prepared so they stay quick to display, and they count toward the limits of your offer. Precise details are listed on the Pricing page. The simple idea: your photos serve your account, journals, reviews or the content you choose to share.

What happens when I share a trip or a diary?

Shared content becomes accessible via its public page, depending on the settings chosen. You can help the community with a public itinerary or diary, while keeping your other content private.

How to earn XP and Road Coins?

Certain actions earn XP or Road Coins: reviews, GPS validation, favorites, comments, additions of spots and public trips. Earnings may vary depending on your offer and the action completed.

How do GPS-verified reviews work?

Accepted Answer

When you submit a GPS-verified review, OTR checks that you are close to the place before granting the best reward. This logic values on-site feedback and keeps reviews more reliable.

What are Road Coins used for?

Accepted Answer

Road Coins are used in the OTR store to obtain short premium passes or profile items depending on your level. For example, Pass Explorer lasts 3 days and Pass Road Pro lasts 1 day when the prerequisites are met.

What are the current prices?

Explorer costs €2.99 for 3 days, €5.99 for 7 days or €9.99 for 1 month. Road Pro costs €4.99 for 3 days, €7.99 for 7 days, €12.90 for 1 month, €89 per year or €289 for life as a founder pass limited to 50 seats.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Yes for monthly or yearly subscriptions. They are managed securely and can be canceled at any time from the management area. Short passes expire automatically. Your data remains linked to your account. If you pass Free again, the Free limits apply again.
